This is my first time blogging. I have read many but never blogged so bear with me until I get the hang of it. I am taking "Leadership for Change because I and others identify myself as a leader. I would like to enhance my leadership skills and increase my knowledge in leadership arena form different spectrums; i.e. workforce, church, and family.
What inspired me to take this particular course is that it is being taught by Dr. Rockquemore who made an everlasting positive impact on me at UIC's Women Leadership Conference.
I expect to get out of this course everything it has to offer, increased knowledge of leadership and explore qualities within. Finally, I would like to prepare for what's yet to come in life and I am always eager to learn more.
As a child I was fascinated by by outdoors and going to the beach during the summer. For me sight and hearing were the senses I live through. I loved creativity through art, drawing, painting, and painting. I loved dancing and was pretty good at it. I daydreamed about doing something big in life. I dreamed up being very popular and powerful. Never knew what it would be but I knew I would somehow inspire others.
My secret dreams were to be Miss America, a super mode, and to travel to another state and be a "secret (mysterious) exotic dancer". To this day I still enjoy the arts and entertainment. Talents and abilities allowed me to escape my environment.
